Transition Arrangements

Ariadne has worked closely with the Marina Co-operative to ensure that a smooth transition occurred when it took over operations in October 2007.  Ariadne has not introduced any major changes during the transition period - you may have noticed some new faces and new paperwork but there have not been any significant changes and the marina continues to operate “business as usual”.

Over the last twelve months, Ariadne has worked with existing customers to identify improvements that can be implemented in the short term and within its redevelopment plans for the longer term.

Current berthing costs for the marina are significantly below that of any other marina facility in NSW, and apart from CPI increases fees have remained constant for a prolonged period of time.  On commencement of Ariadne's management the existing pricing schedule has been maintained in good faith for the users of the facility. However, in line with normal business operations and the improvements being made to the marina, it is anticipated that a new pricing structure will be introduced in the future. Future prices are yet to be determined, but they will reflect the quality of the facilities and amenities provided, and will be comparable to the fees charged at other quality regional marina facilities in NSW.

If the proposed marina redevelopment is approved then vessel berthing and storage options at a range of price points will be available. Ariadne is committed to retaining all existing berths throughout the redevelopment process to ensure that existing marina customers are not displaced.

Ariadne will communicate regularly with boat owners and will place notices up around the marina to keep existing customers informed about operational changes and the progress of the redevelopment proposal.
